As a leading web agency, Bixler improves the way organizations communicate. From strategy and content to information architecture and technical development, we make it possible for our clients to improve member advocacy, constituent education, and corporate communication.
About Bixler
Our iterative, four-phase approach ensures that each engagement results in a unique and innovative solution.
Discovery
The first phase begins with the team gaining a thorough understanding of the project including client participants, the client’s audience, and prioritized goals. Discovery usually includes market research and/or audience interviews resulting in clearly defined user profiles. Further, the team identifies measures of success in order that business, creative, and technical priorities can be properly aligned. The result of this phase is a project blueprint.
Design
A successful website provides clear paths to information and products. The challenge is to create an architecture that makes moving through the site as effortless and ‘natural’ as possible. That’s why we spend a great deal of time modeling the user experience.
Once the architecture is clear, our designers work closely with the client to ensure visual consistency in branding and tone. Proposed design concepts are refined in collaboration with our clients and well documented prior to development.
Development
With detailed design specifications, user profiles, content outline, site map, and graphics, our team begins development. Usually, the first step is to determine the right technology for the project, the client and the budget. Is the content best managed by a simple blogging solution? A full featured content management system? A flexible ecommerce platform? Fortunately, we’re not tied to any specific technology because each project and client presents unique requirements.
Launch
As the construction of all functional modules nears completion, our testing process begins in order to ensure that all of the components are working as specified. All open issues are addressed and tested. The "Go Live" day signifies the completion of development and is carefully coordinated with each client’s media strategy.
