Bixler Successfully Completes Major Investment in Hosting Platform
McLean, VA, November, 12, 2009 – With the close of the year, Bixler successfully completed a major investment in its primary technical operations and hosting platform, expanding into Equinix’s newest co-location facility, DC5, at their Ashburn, Virginia campus.
Although already using state-of-the-art virtual machine and ‘cloud’ technology, the expansion allows for significantly increased capacity and redundancy. For example, the installation of industry-leading Storage Area Network servers in high-availability configurations removes any single point of failure within the storage network thereby ensuring the protection of critical customer data. In addition, the upgrade of all VMware servers to the latest vSphere 4 environment allows Bixler to continue to deliver superior application availability and to automate resource management across the platform.
