NEWS & NOTES
Our Latest Financial Literacy Project: TomorrowsMoney.org
Over the past ten years Bixler has enjoyed creating award-winning websites for the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and its predecessor, The Bond Market Foundation for Investor Education.
The shining star of all of these projects is the recent re-launch of TomorrowsMoney.org, which provides essential tools to help individuals increase their understanding of personal finance and make sound decisions that will underpin lifelong success.
From the main page, visitors can select from several sites tailored to specific audiences such as women and young people. All of the sites feature:
- 100’s of articles about real-life financial situations in English and Spanish
- Over 20 easy-to-use calculators including debt, college, mortgage, auto, and retirement
- 100’s of tips covering saving, financing and insurance
Beyond guiding visitors in how to build skills to handle credit and debt and to save for longer term goals, the site also features a guide to the financial decisions of difficult times, such as losing a spouse or a job.
TomorrowsMoney.org is used by State Treasurers nationwide in support of state-based financial literacy programs through a partnership with the National Association of State Treasurers Foundation.
The Bixler team was very excited by the opportunity to redesign and thoroughly update this important contribution to improving financial literacy among all Americans. Key deliverables included information architecture, interface design, graphic design, technical development, and ongoing support.
